PRESCHOOL
The United Church of Broomfield Preschool
is a program for children ages 3-5 years. A variety of classes are offered:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00AM-11:30AM
Pre-Kindergarten Classes*
Monday –thru– Thursday
9:00AM-11:30AM & 12-2:30PM
*Pre-Kindergarten Classes are for
children who will be attending Kindergarten the following year.
The Preschool curriculum is a theme-based
curriculum. It is a whole language curriculum involving storybooks. Most of
the activities revolve around the storybook, including:

Sharing and conversation time
·
Songs
·
Fingerplays
·
Creative arts
·
Crafts, games, large muscle activities, food preparation, science,
nature activities
·
Exposure to shapes, colors, numbers and letters
·
Celebration of birthdays and holidays
While the Preschool is a program and outreach ministry of the United
Church of Broomfield, the curriculum is not religious based. The teachers
do include values and character development; religious specific ideas are
not taught. This allows people from any faith background who are in need of
preschool to participate. As an outreach, the Preschool focuses on helping
those who truly need a program by keeping fees low and offering
scholarships to those who qualify.
It is our philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun,
warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Preschool children are creative
and receptive - our program strives to nurture and
encourage these qualities in its students. We provide an atmosphere that
encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and
development of the child as a whole.
Tuition Fees for
2008-2009 School Year
Tuesday/Thursday = $121 per month
Monday/Wednesday/Friday = $163 per month
Pre-K = $198 per month
Our school was started in September 1995 and now has 55 children, a
director, 2 teachers and 2 aids.
